With an impressive ninth place Aarhus University is ranked among the world’s top ten universities with regard to agricultural sciences. The U.S. News Best Global Universities rankings, which leans on Thomas Reuters bibliometric analyses, has prepared the hitlist.

The field of agricultural sciences encompasses a wide range of subjects related to how humans use and develop natural resources for their benefit. They include horticulture, food science and nutrition, animal science and agronomy.

The rankings are based on the universities’ reputations and research in the agricultural sciences. And this is where Aarhus University comes in as the best in Denmark, third best in Europe after Wageningen University and Ghent University, and ninth best in the world.
