Suresh Rattan conferred an honorary professorship in Poland

Suresh Rattan Ph.D., Dr.scient. has been awarded an honorary professorship at the University of Rzeszów in Poland.

As a Visiting Professor, Suresh Rattan will collaborate with the Institute of Biotechnology, and together with Professor Maciej Wnuk, help to establish a teaching and research programme on Biogerontology – the study of ageing at the biological level. This collaboration will further encourage and strengthen student exchange between Aarhus University and the University of Rzeszów.

Established in 2001, the University of Rzeszów is a rapidly developing university, and has already gained international attention and recognition. Due to its geographical location in Southern Poland, the university realizes its unique tasks in cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, and plays the role of an intellectual and cultural bridge between Ukraine and the EU. At present, it has over 16,000 students, more than 2000 staff, 11 faculties and 42 areas of study.
