7th European Workshop on Plant Senescence

  • 10-14 November 2014
  • Sandbjerg Estate, Denmark

Welcome to the 7th European Workshop on Plant Senescence that will be held in the southern part of Denmark at Aarhus University's beautiful estate Sandbjerg from Monday 10th November to Friday 14th November 2014.

Plant Senescence and Productivity:

Senescence is the final phase of plant development and important for an optimal maturation of crop plants. Understanding the fundamentals of senescence regulation and execution is hence of importance in order to optimize productivity of crop plants, both in terms of yield levels and of quality of harvested products.

This workshop will cover the many, diverse aspects of regulation and execution of senescence, with the focus to understand how it affects plant productivity.

The workshop will be integrated with the final network conference of the Croplife Marie Curie ITN (2010-2014). Results from projects of this network on plant senescence and life span control will be presented in talks at the workshop.
