The department's seminar series and annual meetings
Kjeldgaard Lectures
"Kjeldgaard Lectures in Molecular Biology" is a high-profile lecture series, where we invite leading scientists worldwide covering the research areas of our department.
The lectures are followed by a PhD session where the PhD students have the opportunity to ask questions to the guest about research, collaboration, postdoctoral opportunities, etc.
Brian Clark Biotech Lectures
The Brian Clark Biotech Lectures take place on an ad hoc basis when relevant speakers from industry are available. The lectures are meant to be inspiring and informative to staff and students at the department.
To take full advantage of the biotech visits, we organise a networking event after the lecture where groups or individuals can to talk to the speaker about anything from discussion on specific projects, know-how, career opportunities, to proposals for joint applications on larger grants or EU networks.
Departmental Seminars
Departmental Seminarsis an internal seminar series where the department's staff get a chance to present their latest research to the other members of staff and students.
The abstracts for the departmental seminars are not uploaded on the website as some of the results presented at the seminars have not yet been published.
MBG Focus Talks
MBG focus talks are scientific talks arranged by individual sections or groups and are therefore of a more specialised nature than e.g. the Kjeldgaard Lectures, Brian Clark Biotech Lectures and Departmentsl Seminar series.

Infection and Immunity Lectures
The seminar series Infection and Immunity is organised in a joint collaboration between the Department of Biomedicine and the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.
Annual meetings
Every year, the department holds an Annual Meeting for the department's staff and students with lectures, posters and exhibitors during the day, and the annual meeting ends in the evening with a big party with dinner, entertainment and dance for all participants. The meeting is normally held on a Friday in early June.
