Teaching prizes

Best teacher of the year

Charlotte Rohde Knudsen
was awarded the prize as the
best teacher of year at the
Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics

Minh Lon Lu and Rasmus Kjeldsen from MBG's student council (MoGenS) give the following reasons for awarding the prize:

is a person who has accomplished to reach the audiences. That is to say the person has been really good at communicating, to get the words out in a way that the individual student find the subjects that are being discussed during the lessons easy to understand. Furthermore, perhaps the most important thing of all, the person has managed to keep the subject interesting and inspiring. There is nothing better than to be taught by someone who is passionate at what he/she is doing.

Therefore, it is my pleasure to reveal that this year’s Best Lecturer is – Charlotte Rohde Knudsen for her teaching in General Molecular Biology.

Best student teacher of the year

Janus Asbjørn Schatz-Jakobsen
was awarded the prize as the
best student teacher of year at the
Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics

Minh Lon Lu and Rasmus Kjeldsen from MBG's student council (MoGenS) gives the following reasons for awarding the prize:

There are many good instructors but todays winner managed to steal not only 1st place but also the 2nd and 4th place. A hattrick was prevented by Camilla Lund Nikolajsen, having the 3rd best score for her teaching in applied proteomics.

Minh and I have had the pleasure of having todays winner as an instructor. We know him to be intelligent, well-prepared and always ready to help, but what might have put him over the edge is his mild and humorous nature, which enlivens the class room experience. The student teacher award goes to, for the second year in a row, Janus Asbjørn Schatz-Jakobsen.
