Getting to the lab

Our lab is located at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics on the fourth floor of building 1130 at Aarhus University Aarhus, Denmark. To visit us the below information may be useful:

Coming from abroad:

Take bus 925X. In connection with the majority of flights, there is an airport bus service between Aarhus and Aarhus Airport (approximately 50 min.). The stop at the Nobel Park is a short walk from MBG/Building 1130. The last stop is at Aarhus Main Train Station.

Take bus 912X to Aarhus Bus Station. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 30 min.

If you arrive from abroad to Copenhagen Airport there is an option to take the train to Aarhus (around 3 hours). For working, the trains have silent zones, but don’t miss the splendid views of the bridges and fjords you pass.

Coming from downtown Aarhus:

  • Asking google maps to guide you will often get you here fast and smoothly
  • City buses: Several city buses departing near the central train station have stops near the university campus, including 1A, 2A, 3A, 13 and 22.
  • Light rails: Take the light rails from downtown Aarhus and get off at the the Aarhus University / Kommunehospitalet station. Follow the stairs under the road to the main campus and follow the road straight past the lakes. At the T section you will see MBG and building 1130 right in front of you.

Finding us at the department in building 1130:

After entering through on of the two main entrances, take the stairs or lift to the 4th floor. There you can either wander around till you find room 424 or ask one of the friendly faces.
