Camilla G. Andersen's experience at the 75th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Camilla G. Andersen from Bjørn Pedersens lab at Aarhus University applied to attend the 75th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Bavaria, got accepted and invited. The 75th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting was a special meeting since more than 70 Nobel laureates attended for the interdisciplinary conference together with about 600 scientists from around the world.

The six days conference had a packed program of lectures, talks, discussion and workshops, but also social events to give the opportunity to talk and network with other attendees. The experience of all the scientists and Nobel Lauerates together was motivating and social.

In her own words: 

At Lindau I got new perspectives on what it means to be a scientist. I built new friendships and met potential future collaborators.

A talk by Nobel laureate Professor Katalin Karikó made a big impression on Camilla, how you sometimes need to stick to what you believe in scientifically, even though you might meet resistance. But also more technical talks like a personal talk with physicists Stephen Hall who recommended certain methods and articles to read.
