PhD students: did you get an e-mail about teaching allocation?

To make sure that all PhD students registered at the department (or iNANO students working at MBG) have received the e-mail below with form for prioritisation, please contact Michael Etzerodt (etzerodt@mb.au.dk) if you did NOT receive the mail.

Dear PhD student

Time is now approaching where you may communicate your preferences for teaching in the autumn 2012 quarters.

Please fill in the attached form with priorities (1, 2 or 3) for the courses you prefer to teach and return it to me no later than 22 June as an attachment to an email to etzerodt@mb.au.dk.

It is important that all PhD students return the form to me - including PhD students applying for the “frisemester – in order to minimise the risk of mistakes in the allocation process.

Do not use REPLY to the e-mail sent by Helle Karvonen.

The form must be saved under a new name containing your own name. Please contact me, by e-mail, if you have questions concerning the form.

PhD students are mostly used as instructors in the bachelor courses. However, foreign-speaking students are more likely to be allocated to lab exercises and other duties or assist their own supervisor. Alternatively, other duties of supportive nature may also be allocated.

If you want to change the number of hours that you want to teach (and thereby is being paid for) you should arrange this as soon as possible by contacting the PhD school and Helle Karvonen (hk@mb.au.dk).  If you are away for a longer period of time during the autumn, you and your supervisor should arrange with the PhD school as soon as possible how this influences your teaching.
