Plant-PATH is officially launched

Even though the Plant-PATH Center for Active Transport of Plant Hormones began working hard back in May, we officially marked its launch last week, on 3 September.

It was worth the wait! The day truly reflected what the center is about: science, collaboration, and community.

Visions and lab tour

The day started with our kick-off meeting for center members, which was a chance to bring everyone together in person from Aarhus University, Technical University of Munich, and Université Libre de Bruxelles.

We shared visions from each group, held a steering committee meeting, toured the labs at MBG, and even squeezed in some team-building.

Opening ceremony

In the afternoon, we opened our doors for the official opening ceremony, with inspiring talks from Aarhus University leadership, Danmarks Grundforskningsfond / The Danish National Research Foundation, and our group leaders, followed by a festive reception.

A heartfelt thank you to the Danish National Research Foundation for supporting this Center of Excellence, and to all our members for making the day such a success.

A strong foundation has been laid, and we now look forward to the coming years of research, where the center will generate new knowledge about plant hormones and transport mechanisms – results that may have an impact far beyond the laboratory.
