Tsz Fung Woo: The neural representation of sequence in the brain
PhD defence, Monday, 17 June 2024, Tsz Fung Woo
During his PhD studies, Tsz Fung Woo researched how the brain represented sequences efficiently. It is not clear which neurons we listen to when there are tremendous number of neurons in the brain. Tsz Fung Woo studied how population of neurons represented sequences collaboratively and demonstrated how this festure facilitate the encoding of sequence.
The new research findings contribute to the understanding of how the information was represented in the brain in a geometry perspective.
The PhD study was completed at Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Dandrite, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University.
