Orientation Paper on the FP 7 Work Programme for 2013 in the Area of Health Research
Recently the European Commission has released the first draft version of the upcoming work programme for the health theme in FP 7. So researchers and scientist who wants to be up front and ready for the final work programme, have the opportunity now.
The key areas of focus in the Orientation Paper are.
- Brain research
- Antimicrobial drug resistance (AMR)
- Comparative Effectiveness research (CER)
Involvement of SME’s and industry in research projects will be a further point of focus, with more than 20 % of the budget allocated towards this. This will help further innovation and look towards the coming Horizon 2020 framework. The support to clinical trials will also be continued giving the possibility to test e.g. therapies for cancer, brain injuries etc.
Keep in mind that the Orientation Paper is a draft version only and can still be subject to changes. The final version of the work programme is expected in mid July.
On the European Commission Cordis webpage there is access to the full text of the Orientation Paper.
