Plant-PATH represented at international plant research meeting in Ghent

Plant-PATH Center Leader Bjørn Panyella Pedersen was invited to speak at the 4th edition of “At the forefront of plant research”, organised by VIB Training & Conferences in Ghent, Belgium, sharing insights into the mechanisms of plant hormone transport with an international audience of plant researchers.

In his talk, “Mechanisms of plant hormone transport,” Bjørn presented research on the molecular mechanisms that govern the movement of plant hormones. Understanding how hormones are transported through plants is central to the work of Plant-PATH, where researchers investigate the active transport of plant hormones using approaches spanning structural biology, biophysics, molecular biology and advanced in vivo plant phenotyping.

The meeting brought together researchers working across different areas of plant science, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives across disciplines. For Plant-PATH, participating in international meetings such as this is an important way of sharing the Centre’s research with the wider scientific community and developing connections beyond our four research groups in Denmark, Belgium and Germany.

Meetings such as this also provide valuable opportunities for researchers at earlier stages of their careers. Exposure to different research fields and approaches, and the chance to meet researchers from different institutions and career stages, can help broaden perspectives and inspire new scientific directions.

We are pleased to see Plant-PATH represented at a meeting that brings together researchers from across the plant sciences and provides a space for both established and emerging researchers to share their work.
