DUA (“Det Unge Akademi”) is a scientific academy for young talented researchers in Denmark under the auspices of the Royal Danish Society of Sciences and Letters. There are 40 members of DUA in total.

The Young Academy is an independent platform for young researchers within all disciplines. The purpose of the Young Academy is to strengthen basic research and the interdisciplinary exchange, to bridge the gap between science and society - and to give some of the country's most talented young researchers a public voice.

The members are all distinctive profiles with strong international experience and interesting views on research and society. Bjørn Panyella Pedersen from MBG is also a member of the Academy.

Members are assigned a five-year membership and eight new members are admitted each year.
