Empowering Protein Research with Cutting-Edge LC-MS/MS Technology

Protein research, a cornerstone of scientific inquiry, is advancing at an unprecedented pace, thanks to the powerful capabilities of LC-MS/MS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry/Mass Spectrometry). At the forefront of this progress stand two remarkable instruments, the TripleTOF 6600 and the Thermo Eclipse Tribrid mass spectrometer, each contributing its unique strengths to unravel the mysteries of proteins.

Identification: With high-resolution tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) capabilities, our instruments excels at accurate protein identification, even in complex mixtures. It provides fast and comprehensive protein profiling, enabling researchers to confidently decipher the protein content of their samples.

Quantification: Precise quantification is pivotal in understanding dynamic changes in protein expression. We offer label-free quantification, isotope labeling, and other quantitative methods, providing insights into protein dynamics and differential expression.

Characterization: For researchers investigating post-translational modifications (PTMs), we offer unmatched precision. It aids in PTM site localization and detailed characterization, shedding light on the functional diversity of proteins.

Protein Interaction Studies: Exploring protein-protein interactions is made more accessible with the modern high resolution instruments. Its sensitivity and dynamic range are invaluable in affinity purification coupled with mass spectrometry experiments.

High Sensitivity: Our nanoHPLC setup boasts exceptional sensitivity, enabling the detection and quantification of trace-level proteins. It provides researchers with confidence in identifying low-abundance proteins.

Flexibility: Designed to accommodate a wide range of LC-MS/MS workflows, including data-dependent and data-independent acquisition modes, our setup is adaptable to diverse sample types and experimental designs.

Advanced Proteomics: Researchers benefit from the instrument's capabilities in advanced proteomic studies. It enables in-depth characterization of protein modifications and isoforms.

Robust Performance: Whether handling large-scale quantitative experiments or targeted proteomics, the we delivers robust and reliable results, meeting the demands of a broad spectrum of protein research projects.

Together, the TripleTOF 6600 and Thermo Eclipse Tribrid instruments represent a formidable duo in the realm of LC-MS/MS technology. Their precision, sensitivity, and versatility empower researchers to explore the intricacies of proteins comprehensively. From deciphering protein identities and quantifying expression changes to characterizing post-translational modifications and unraveling intricate protein-protein interactions, these instruments are indispensable tools in the pursuit of scientific discovery and innovation.

Edman degradation

Our research infrastructure is well-equipped to support studies that require Edman degradation-based N-terminal sequencing. This classical technique plays a vital role in determining the amino acid sequence at the N-terminus of proteins. Whether you're exploring protein modifications, structural insights, or characterizing novel proteins, our facility provides the necessary expertise and instrumentation for accurate and reliable N-terminal sequencing. We are committed to assisting your research needs with precision and efficiency.

Amino Acid analysis

In our quest to provide comprehensive analytical support, we are proud to offer amino acid analysis, a fundamental technique in molecular research. At our research infrastructure, we utilize the Biochrom 30+ amino acid analyzer. With the amino acid analyzer we provide the golden standard for protein characterization and amino acid profiling.

We use the well-documented classical amino acid analysis method based on ion exchange chromatography with post-column derivatization using Ninhydrin. This method enables both qualitative and quantitative analysis of up to 56 amino acids and derivatives. It includes rare amino acids such as Argininosuccinic acid, Alloisoleucine, and Sulfocysteine.

Efficiency Meets Precision

With the Biochrom 30+ Physiological system, we utilize a combination of 5 lithium citrate buffers to achieve a full amino acid profile in less than 90 minutes, thanks to the new Accelerated method. This efficiency is particularly beneficial for studies requiring rapid insights.

Specific Applications

Detection of up to 56 amino acids in physiological samples.

Protein and peptide analysis for pharmaceutical applications.

Analysis of food, beverages, plant extracts, fermentation products, culture media, nutraceuticals, and infusion fluids.

With our amino acid analysis capabilities, we empower your research with accurate and in-depth molecular insights. Whether you're unraveling the composition of biological samples or conducting quality control in diverse industries, our infrastructure is your partner in precision and discovery.
