Jobs & studies at CSB

Post docs

Candidates holding a Ph. D. degree in science, who are interested in pursuing a post doctoral career at the Centre for Structural Biology are encouraged to contact the group leader whose project they are interested in (see Research Groups). Candidates with complementary or cross-disciplinary skills in biology, physics, chemistry, or computer science are highly encouraged to apply.

Interested candidates will be invited for an informal interview, where they are expected to present an overview of their recent work in the form of a short seminar at the centre. Funding will be arranged on an individual basis, but most candidates are successful in obtaining their own funding or are funded through grants at the CSB.

Graduate (PhD) students

Students wishing to study for the Ph. D. degree in molecular biology at the Centre for Structural Biology should get in contact with the group leader, whose project they are interested in (see Research Groups). Funding for the PhD programme can be obtained either through the faculty programme or through one of the associated PhD schools. Admittance is usually dependent upon course merits and publications, if any. Currently, the centre is associated with the following PhD schools and programmes:

The Graduate School of Science and Technology, Aarhus University (GSST):

- PhD programme - Molecular Biology and Genetics

- PhD programme - Nanoscience

Master, Bachelor, and project students

Students who are interested in writing a project, bachelor project, or pursuing the M. Sc. degree at the Centre for Structural Biology should contact the group leader, whose project they wish to join (see Research Groups). Admittance is by arrangement with the group leader and depends mainly on available bench space.
