The official opening of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in the University City takes place on Friday 22 September 2023.

The celebration starts with an official opening in the auditorium with the following programme that will be in Danish:

Invited guests for the event
For the event in the auditorium, we have invited a number of external guests as well as members of the MBG Management Committee, the MBG Building Committee, and the Board of the student organisation. We have still room for many more and you are kindly invited to participate in this event. Should the number of people signing up exceed the capacity of the room, we will select people based on a draw.
Refreshments for all staff and students at MBG
We plan to broadcast the event on the info screen, which you can follow the event on the platforms and at the student area, where some refreshments will be served.
Guided tour for external guests and reception for guests, staff and students
After the official opening, we will arrange a guided tour for the external guests and at 14:30 we will all meet in the canteen and the area around the auditorium for a reception with a light meal and some refreshments.
The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics presents a symphonic art installation "Det Centrale Dogme" (The Central Dogma), which explores the fundamental processes of molecular biology through music and visual elements. The artwork celebrates the depth and complexity of science and provides a unique experience of biochemistry and molecular biology.
