Biophysics & Biochemistry Core Facility

Biophysics and Biochemistry Core Facility

The MBG Biophysics core facility aims to provide state-of-the-art equipment for characterisation of the assembly, interactions, stability, and function of biological macromolecules. Furthermore, we aim to organize and distribute maintenance and training in a fair, transparent, and sustainable manner.

We do not currently have a dedicated facility manager. Therefore, you should expect to conduct the experiments yourself or in a collaboration with an experienced user. The basic operation of the instruments can generally be learned in a single day, although advanced experimental designs and data analysis may take longer.

The facility is open for Aarhus University scientists as well as local companies to a limited extent on a fee-for-service basis.

If you would like to discuss potential experiments, you should contact Associate Professor Magnus Kjærgaard (magnus@mbg.au.dk). For internal users, practical information is available on labbook.
