Well equipped and accessible for research
The MBG Biophysics Core Facility provides state-of-the-art equipment for characterizing the assembly, interactions, stability, and function of biological macromolecules. We are committed to maintaining and organizing the facility with a focus on fair, transparent, and sustainable practices, including instrument maintenance and user training.
The facility is open to scientists from Aarhus University and, to a limited extent, to local companies on a fee-for-service basis.
Dedicated facility manager
Our dedicated facility manager, Jan Nowak, is available to guide users through experimental design and provide comprehensive instrument training. Our goal is to help users become self-sufficient as quickly as possible, enabling you to independently conduct experiments. While basic instrument operation can generally be learned in a single day, advanced experimental designs and data analysis may require additional time.
If you would like to discuss potential experiments, you should contact Core Facility Manager Jan S. Nowak (jsn@mbg.au.dk) or Associate Professor Magnus Kjærgaard (magnus@mbg.au.dk). For internal users, practical information including list of consumables is available on labbook.
